Human beings are born with a sin nature and require salvation that cannot be achieved through moral behavior or religious routine alone. Every individual carries a sin record from birth which must be removed to stand before God, with baptism in the name of Jesus Christ identified as the necessary means for the remission of sins. Institutional religion and Trinitarian doctrine are contrasted with true faith, which advocates Oneness theology based on one Lord, one faith, and one baptism. Eternal consequences are emphasized, describing heaven as perfect salvation and hell as unending torment, while warning of the approaching Great Tribulation and the deception of the mark of the beast.
